Wedding Timeline

Each bridesmaid service is typically 45 minutes. Account for 45 minutes for hair and 45 minutes for makeup.

For the bride it is typically an hour and a half to two hours each service depending on the look she is going for.

Typically I schedule them the last hour of the getting ready portion.

The photographer typically arrives gets a few pictures of your hair or make up getting done then they will start taking detail photos of your dress, shoes, invitation, etc.

I recommend 1 hour before your ceremony begins if you have a place to be hidden before the ceremony.

If you do not then I recommend staying in a car and arrive 10-15 minutes before the ceremony begins.

Typically take the remaining pictures of the extended family if you did majority of the pictures before the wedding. After you are done with that you can join cocktail hour!

If you did not see each other before the ceremony then you will take all your pictures during cocktail hour.

No problem! You can just go to your seats and then have your DJ welcome everyone to the reception. I do recommend having someone give a welcome speech before dinner though.

I recommend if it is not a choreographed dance then have it before you sit down for dinner, right after the grand entrance.

Or you can wait and have your first dance open the dance floor after dinner service is over.

No problem! Then just omit them.

If you do want to have the father/daughter and mother/son dance I recommend you do that after dinner before everyone gets on the dance floor.

It depends on the guest count but typically a buffet 45 minutes - one hour and a plated is an hour and a half to two hours.
