Newport Harbor Yacht Club Wedding
Newport Harbor Yacht Club is a very special place to get married. It has an incredible family feel where they make your wedding day feel so personal. To the personalized menu to the staff that the members knew personally. Here are a few tips I learned while I planned a wedding there.
Do you have to be a member to have a wedding or event there? Yes, you do have to be a member or have a current member to be your sponsor to host a wedding or event there.
How much did it cost? My clients selected chilean sea bass and rib eye for their guest to select from for their entree and it was $110 per person with an additional $26 per person for the appetizers they selected. So roughly around $140 a person.
Did the club provide rentals? They provided the long tables, chairs, gold plate charger, silverware, and glassware. They did have round tables they could of provided but the couple had an intimate wedding so they opted for two long tables.
Rental Suggestions: I do recommend you rent linens especially for long tables as their white linens are made for smaller square tables and they would have to layer them as it wouldn’t be seamless.
Can you have a ceremony and reception at the club? It is highly recommended to have a ceremony at another location and then have cocktail hour and the reception at the club. My clients had their ceremony at their house and took their boat over to the club afterwards.
Can I dock a/my boat at the club? Yes, you can but you have to reserve a spot with the club. My clients rented a spot but hired a driver to take them to the club from their house, drop them off at the club, then come back at the end of the night to pick them up and take them back to their house.
Can guests park at the club? Yes, but the lot gets full very quickly. I would recommend for your guests to Uber there if possible or get there early enough to find a parking spot.
Hotel recommendations?
We had the wedding reception which included a cocktail hour with passed appetizers and drinks and a plated 3 course menu. The wedding ran from 6:30-10pm. It was perfect a perfect amount of time for their event. I highly recommend having your wedding at the Newport Harbor Yacht Club as it was very memorable and special.
